Special Focus

Each year we highlight a particular interdisciplinary research theme and organize a set of related teaching and research activities. For 2009-10
we focused on "Statistics and Neuroscience." For 2010-11 our focus is on "Applied Statistics in the Sciences".

Alumni Profile

Ning Tang
M.A. in Statistics, 2009
Deutsche Bank as an Analyst, Technology & Operations Group

Ning Tang will soon join the New York office of Deutsche Bank as an analyst in the Technology & Operations Group. He will be working on prime brokerage systems. His responsibilities include compiler optimization, risk evaluation and various return calculations. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Ning worked at CGGVeritas as an application developer. He holds a master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Calgary in Canada and his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Jilin University in China.
